My name is José Marques Ribeiro, I was born and grew up in Lisbon, where I graduated in Design at IADE (Creative University), in 2010. I came to Barcelona two years ago, searching for new experiences, fresh inspiration, and specifically a new sense of lifestyle. I came here to challenge myself and take risks, all in order to improve my creative skills and to follow my creative path. I feel like I have found myself through these challenges, I have found where my true passion lies. I have achieved what I set out to do when arriving in BCN. The outcome of this journey has resulted in me finding out what it is that I truly love; Visual and Audiovisual communication. I Studied a post graduation in Design & Television at ELISAVA (Escola Superior de Disseny), and started to work as an intern in TV3 (Televisió de Catalunya) for 3 months. Later on, I started a master degree in Motion Graphics at BAU (Escola Superior de Disseny) where I've been working with real clients, and developing more audiovisual projects. Currently, I'm working as a Graphic Designer at Vistaprint. I still feel like I have a long way to go in accomplishing what I want to do in the future. However, from my experiences here, what is clear is that I don’t want to ever stop pushing my boundaries, searching and creating for new goals, meeting new people. I also never want to stop finding ways in which to express myself and the way I view the world in a creative way. I am constantly inspired by the world I live in, especially music. Music is something that I am constantly surrounded by, whether it be the audio or the visual aspects of music. I appreciate good taste and design. I need to be constantly surrounded by creative minds, in order to get the best feedback in every step that I make. Different points of view and textures and critiques are few things I always keep in mind during a process or brainstorming. Planning to go to NY and continue searching for more!
