About

I'm 47 years old and spent the earlier part of my career in the music industry writing pop songs. I owned a small recording studio based in Sunderland and became proficient at Pro-Tools. I was asked one day to make a music video for a local band and made such a good job and enjoyed the process that I changed from music to video. In a bid to raise production values I looked for a way to realize some of the amazing VFX I loved in movies; in my search I came across VideoCoPilot and Andrew Kramer. I watched ALL of the tutorials and soon was an After Effects disciple. Shortly after discovering After Effects I started to learn Photoshop and eventually Cinema 4D. I am now a member of C4D Cafe, VideoCoPilot, and now here. I am in the process as we speak of becoming an ACI and already teach Adobe products like Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop to young media apprentices in a number of local colleges around the North East of England. I have made three short films one of which "Wheelies" achieved final selection at The British Independent Film Festival.
