The Art of Transition in Video
Whenever you try to tell a story through video, you inevitably go through the “editing” phase — cutting and stitching...
Definitely, all the videos made for the OFFF festival are always amazing. This time, it’s Onesize who created a video featuring all the festival’s sponsor logos, in a wonderfully chaotic scientific experiment lasting 8 minutes:
3D Typography and Logos, rigid, liquid, and gaseous simulations, tracking... practically every aspect of video post-production is covered, in an atmosphere of vintage experiments, video glitches, and deconstructed sound design — just the way I like it :)
To watch the high-quality version and see behind-the-scenes photos, head over to the Onesize website.
For those who’ve never heard of either Onesize or Offf (you’re new here, right? ^^), here are a few extra videos to help you understand:
The Offf Festival is a massive international festival dedicated to digital creation, held every year: International Festival For the Post-Digital Creation Culture
Many renowned artists and studios come to share and present their vision of digital creation over three days. Every facet of digital culture is explored: Web, Print, Interactive, Motion Graphics, Music, and more. It took place just a few days ago, and I really wish I could have attended! Maybe next year :)

Onesize, for its part, is a motion design studio I already mentioned here when their 2009 showreel was released.
And to stay in that intense, deconstructed vibe, go listen to this album, Onesize Symphonic Orchestra. Sensitive ears beware ;)
