In this new free video tutorial on After Effects, we will see how to make the famous 3D Coverflow effect on this mac, automatically from a file photo.
The project source (CS4+) is available to download to ease the task and avoid you to rewriting many expressions.
- Achieve in a few steps the famous Coverflow effect as seen in iTunes, the finder, or on iPods / iPhone, etc. ..
- Understand the value of expressions to facilitate the process of creation
- Importing an image sequence into After Effects
- Discover the "loop" expressions and their "offset" property to create a perpetual motion with a few keyframes
To rename sequentially your files on mac: Automator, installed by defaut. On Pc, it's a little harder.. a bunch of software are available, and google is your friend !
I hope you'll like this preset ! I spent some time on it to make it as user friendly as possible for the end user :)
Adobe Bridge can be used to rename files sequentially.

Why you didn't made this tutorial from the begginging? It's a little bit pointles.
thanks a lot :)
I wish this tutorial covered entire process. Otherwise it is just confusing.
Hi, thanks for a great tutorial, I managed to get it to work, and the translation works perfectly even with a French interface.
I was just wondering, how do you change the size to fit rectangular images? I am a self-taught beginner with AE and it is all a bit confusing especially that the tutorial as others mentioned doesn't cover the construction of the template.
Thanks
when i start the first image outside center it jumps one cover and continues the loop
Almost 2022 and this is still fantastique! Merci beaucoup!
