Love Sport - Gold Medal in Keyframing
On the occasion of the sporting events currently taking place in London, Studio Aka has put online a series of animations created by designer Grant Orchards.
Below are the 15 videos in the series. 11 were originally created in 2007, with 4 new ones added this year:
Despite a minimalist design, it’s still easy to identify the different disciplines as well as the characters, reduced to simple colored rectangles. Everything comes to life naturally thanks to hundreds of well-placed keyframes.
A big congratulations to Grant for the execution and art direction, to Phillip Warner for his animations, and to Nic Gill for the sound design.
