Important notice for english members
Our videos have been translated in English with a voice over, but the After Effects interface remains in French. We are french, and our main community is french. But watch one of the free tutorials to try and listen the english translations.

Create an elegant and dynamic text animation, cutting each letter into small colored pieces.

In this new video tutorial on After Effects, we will learn how to make a stylish text animation, based on a dynamic and colored cutting of our letters.
We will also see how to create the material on our text, and break the often too clean and flat aspect that digital typography have.
- Create a photoshop document optimized for an import into After Effects (size, length, format)
- Animate layers using simple effects, which combined give complex animations
- Workflow tips to manage a dynamic color palette used in several compositions
- Combination of simple effects to give a depth to the text and appearance of worn metal
Although the techniques used are simple, I don't recommend this tutorial for beginners, as I don't explain in detail the shortcuts and basic concepts (creating a solid , a composition, etc...).
