Onesize is one of the first studios, along with Dstruckt and Anders Schroder, that introduced me to the world of motion design. I still remember that time a little over a year ago when I first discovered Fubiz. I was browsing the motion category and stumbled upon short video sequences filled with stunning visuals that were incredibly inspiring. I didn’t yet know what a showreel was — but what I did discover was that I wanted to do the same job as those guys:

Onesize brings us here (after quite a wait…) their new showreel. And it was worth it! I absolutely love the sound design and textures. The music and effects fit the visuals perfectly, and you can’t help but stay glued to the screen as the creations unfold. At least, I do. It’s beautiful.

Before I decided to truly dive into the artistic field and leave the math behind, there was a time when I watched a lot of demo reels — one in the morning, one at noon, one at night to get through my classes back then ;) It was around that time that I discovered the reels of Anders Schroder, Christopher Hewitt, and Onesize. After watching them, I knew I wanted to do this job, even though at the time I had no idea how these videos were technically made:

You’ve probably noticed after watching these four showreels that I’m a big fan of things that are a bit deconstructed, rhythmic, and dynamic... The simplest way to achieve that kind of result, I think, comes down to my little secret:

Animate with your ears.
